Sunspot AR4366 has erupted this week with an astonishing 9 X-class flares and dozens of M-class flares. Some of these flares have released CMEs, great burps of solar materials and magnetic fields. What. A. Day! The third strongest solar flare of the solar cycle occurred a few hours ago! Unfortunately there wasn’t much of a CME and nothing major is forecasted to hit Earth (if at all).
