Wild two-fingered sloths have an unusual habit of eating dirt and small stones from the rainforest floor. This strange behaviour is called 'geophagy' and scientists think that this provides sloths with important minerals, aids digestion and helps them to neutralise toxins in the leaves that they eat! | The Sloth Conservation Foundation

Did you know that sloths are FOLIVORES? 🍃 🌺A folivore is a herbivore that specializes in eating leaves - and a sloth does just that, eating mostly tree leaves, flowers, and wild fruits.
