Love is in the water surrounding shellfish farms! 💗 Our Northeast Fisheries Science Center’s GoPro Aquaculture Habitat Project put cameras on oyster farms and natural habitats in Long Island Sound to find out how fish interact with farms. They’ve captured many behaviors indicating that fish use the farms similarly to natural habitat. They've even seen fish spawning and finding mates!
