Six years ago today, I got my colostomy bag. It was always meant to be permanent, and I’m truly grateful for the life it’s given me. It’s also been three weeks since my last major surgery to fix a hernia and prolapse. I’m still a bit sore and swollen, but I’m doing well and, honestly, I think I’m recovering better than expected!
