It’s National Library Day, and our library has come so far in the nearly 50 years since its beginning! Although it was first proposed in 1921, The Phillips Collection Library was established in 1976 on the fourth floor of the House in what used to be the Phillips family’s baby nursery. The space filled up quickly with 800 books, catalogues, monographs, and journals—so when the Sant Building was constructed in 2007 the library was relocated.
