On April 13, 1886 the first cigar was rolled in Ybor city. A few decades later, Tampa’s 150 cigar factories were rolling 500 million cigars a year making Tampa internationally known as “Cigar City.” Tonight we are celebrating that history at Hotel Haya with specialty cocktails, hand-rolling demonstrations, and a hand-rolling class.
