Albrecht Dürer was born #onthisday in 1471. In the 1520s, he created one of the largest prints ever made – the Triumphal Arch. Printed using 195 different woodblocks, it’s nearly 3 metres tall and covers 36 large sheets of paper. The monumental and ambitious artwork was commissioned by the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I.
