On July 9, 2025, at approximately 7:30 AM, a catastrophic structural failure occurred on the Gambhira Bridge in the Padra district of Gujarat, India. During peak morning traffic, a massive concrete slab between two piers suddenly snapped, sending two trucks, a pickup van, a micro van, and two motorcycles plunging into the Mahi River below. The collapse resulted in the deaths of 22 people, with several others suffering life altering injuries as they were crushed by falling debris and submerged in
