There may be times when you load a new cartridge and find that the insulin gauge displays a number that doesn’t match what you loaded. The reason for that is that until you have pumped approximately 10 units from a new cartridge, the insulin gauge only shows an estimate, which is revised once those 10 units have been used and the pump can make a more accurate measurement of the amount of insulin remaining in the cartridge.
