At approximately 1:00 p.m. on October 14th, 2025, Riverside Fire Department crews conducted a swift-water rescue operation near the La Sierra on-ramp to the 91 Freeway in Riverside after a man was swept away by storm runoff. According to officials, a woman parked near Indiana and La Sierra avenues spotted the man floating among debris and struggling to climb out of the canal. RIVERSIDE — A man was fatally stabbed Tuesday afternoon in Downtown Riverside, prompting a swift response from police and fire crews and the detention of a possible suspect. Around 12:20 p.m. on December 9, 2025, Riverside Fire Department and Riverside Police Department personnel were dispatched to a reported stabbing on University Avenue near Market Street. At approximately 1 p.m. on November 22nd, 2025, Cal Fire Riverside County responded to a commercial structure fire at Cardenas Market in Jurupa Valley. Video from inside the store showed customers evacuating with their mouths and noses covered as heavy smoke filled the building. Fire crews arrived to find an established fire burning inside the market and upgraded the incident to a second and then a third alarm. The flames were contained to the interior of the store. Firefighters brought the fire
