As a labor nurse (aka anecdotally speaking), I have seen delayed pushing or laboring down be incredibly effective and helpful - especially when that epidural is heavy, baby’s station is still higher, and there is no urge to push present. Equally so, I have helped manage labors where it felt like it was time for baby to deliver, and the sooner the pushing began, the better. If you get to this point in your birth, I hope you have providers who can explain pros/cons of all of it specific to your si
