On this day in 1983, I recorded with Paul Rodgers. Paul had suggested recording a cover of These Arms of Mine, an Otis Redding song, for the ARMS benefit and on this day in 1983 we recorded it, along with Slippin' and Sliding - the old Little Richard song as a B-side. It surfaced on Bill Wyman's Willie and the Poor Boys album and Ronnie Wood made a show on the video for this, miming on sax. Jimmy Capps 1939-2020 The entire Country Road TV family is saddened to hear of the passing of Jimmy Capps, the “Sheriff” of Larry’s Country Diner and long time guitar player in the Opry Staff Band. He was also a much sought after session guitarist, having played on countless albums from a who’s who of Country artists. We are praying for Jimmy’s wife, Michele Capps as well as members of his family. RIP Sheriff. | Country Road TV
