The missing piece from most “reactive dog” training programs? Punishment. Actually teaching a dog to STOP an unwanted behavior. It’s typically a split second, and it doesn’t ruin the dogs life. It just teaches them what not to do. But for some reason— if you so much as give your dog a poke in the side you are considered a terrible person who shouldn’t own a dog lol. Meanwhile, dogs are being surrender and put down due to this behavior which can easily be stopped. Usually in one session or two. W
