Firefighters were kept busy on Sunday battling a fast-moving vegetation fire at Beerwah. Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue Service crews were supported by numerous aircraft to contain the fire in the Glass House Mountains National Park. An Emergency Alert was issued to residents in the area but thankfully the warning has been downgraded to Advice.
