Time to replace your face seal? The face seal creates a positive pressure environment within the welding helmet that keeps surrounding pollutants at bay. If the face seal is damaged there is a great risk that contaminated air get inside your helmet. A face seal in good working order is, therefore, essential at all times. Under normal conditions 3M recommend that you replace your face seal at least every 2 months. Replace earlier in really dirty environments or whenever the seal becomes unhygenic
