Last week saw around 1,700 people in prison released early in a move to deal with prison overcrowding. Our staff and volunteers were on hand to ensure the very best start for those leaving: ✅ Opening Visitors’ Centres and ‘departure lounges’ early to greet prison leavers, their families, and supporting professionals ✅ Offering release packs with essential items for the first few days in the community ✅ Providing support and advice (and a strong cup of tea) to settle nerves and ease worries ✅ Esc
