Roscosmos State Corporation astronaut Oleg Platonov captured striking footage of the aurora borealis from aboard the International Space Station, the organization reported on its Telegram channel on Sunday. The video shows luminous green bands shimmering above the Earth’s surface at an altitude of around 400 kilometers. Auroras form in the upper atmosphere during periods of intensified geomagnetic activity and can last anywhere from a few minutes to several days. | ABS-CBN News
