Long before basic sewing needle options evolved as “sharps” or “betweens,” cave-era folks simply threaded bone shard and animal horn with sinew or plant fiber to stitch animal skins into outerwear.
It all started about three years ago when Joyce Place joined Crestview Baptist Church in Clayton. “I have always loved to sew and I discovered there was a need for sewing in the church,” said Place.
