Tesla’s annual profit plunged to its lowest level since the pandemic five years ago as it lost the title of the world’s biggest electric vehicle maker to a Chinese rival and boycotts hammered sales.

Tesla is putting the brakes on production of the Model S and Model X.

Meanwhile, the company’s EV sales and profits, which it still depends upon for the cash to fund its ambitious autonomous and AI future, continue to decline.
