A win is a win. That was the message University of Arkansas men's basketball Coach John Calipari gave after his team overcame a sluggish first half and fended off LSU 85-81 on Saturday at Walton Arena in Fayetteville.
Arkansas had several players step up over the course of the LSU win.Billy Richmond scored 11 points and had 3 assists off the bench and was an effective defender. Karter Knox had 5 points and 5 rebounds — 4 of which came on the offensive end — while playing through an illness.
After that pair of defeats, LSU fell in the polls down to No. 12. A win over Texas last week catapulted the team back into the top-6 and after the big win at Oklahoma, that's where LSU remains in this week's USA TODAY Coaches Poll.
