The Pittsburgh Steelers are adding an assistant head coach to thier staff under Mike McCarthy, hiring former Washington Commanders defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr., according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Now the Steelers will see him twice a year, where he gets to coach Derrick Henry and Lamar Jackson as runners in the backfield. Say what you want about the offensive line, but the
